Closing date Saturday 28th February 2015. Again, I suspect this is only for UK-based poets. An interesting concept, though: the Honouring the Ancient Dead organisation acknowledges the displays all around the country, of ancestors’ bones in museums/etc., where they often are not individually identified. The winning poem will be offered for display to all these museums. They seek a poem that could be used as a ‘standard tribute’. Ideas Tap Quarterly ‘Editor’s Brief’ Competition
Deadline: 30th January 2015, 5pm. It’s that time again, when I recommend that all UK-based writers (and artists/photographers/filmmakers/etc.) join the Ideas Tap online arts community. It’s free to join, and gives you access to all sorts of funding and competition opportunities. Keep an eye on the age limits though – some are only for specific age ranges. The latest ‘Editor’s Brief’ (quarterly, free-to-enter competitions for entries across various media) is on the theme of ‘Family.
