There’s a striking image as the prompt for Visual Verse December 2020. It’s by Nigerian artist Oscar Ukonu, who creates all his amazingly photographic work in ballpoint pen. Submit asap, giving yourself just an hour to write a response. The editors will post their favourite responses on the site.

As ever, you have until 15th of the month (in this case, 15 June 2020) to submit writing inspired by the image shown on the site. There is a one-hour time limit in which to write your piece. Full info here.

Submit up to 5 poems that are queer and speculative, though the editor encourages you to ‘interpret that how you will’.
